Let's not do a tournament; let's just do a LAN. No one's going to come and play in a tournament for a game they don't know how to play. We dealt with that during our Warhawk event, and I'm not putting them through it again if they decide to come play again.

Played AOE 2 Saturday

Post  hanner74 on June 23rd 2008, 22:15

A couple of us played AOE 2 on Saturday as a last minute idea, but I still want to get togethor with a bunch of us. anyhow it was Gamerkid, lost Vamp1re, and myself. We played 2 games, the first one I had connection problems, and got booted about half way through the game, I discovered a firewall issue and fixed that in time for Gamerkid to walk all over lost Vamp1re, it was only about a 30 min match. It was his first time playing though so if he buys it now like he said he was going to hopefully he will play and get better. (by the way you can get the AOE gold pack at Walmart for $10, comes with AOE, AOE2,and AOE2 Conquerors expansion.)
So then in the second game, I built up a huge Armada of ships, trubulchets, and elephants, and destroyed lost Vamp1re in one swift move, leaving him with aparently 1 guy I did not have the time to search for, as I moved over to Gamerkids Island and hoped to do the same to him, unfortunately for me he had better prepared defenses. So after a long fought war with him I went back to finish off lost Vamp1re only to discover he was built back up and ready for me this time. The second game went a little over 3 hours, and I pulled out a lucky vicory as the entire map was nearly depleated of resources, and I was spending evething twice as fast as I could get it. But it was a fun time, good gamin guys, and lets set up a big one!

played aoe today

Post  hanner74 on June 25th 2008, 03:24

Myself, Gamerkid, and Brad6171 got togethor today and played AOE II today. It was a long and grueling battle, with Gamerkid unfortunatley having disconnection problems right around the 2 hour mark. That left Brad6171 and myself to wage all out war, the problem for me was those two had started by all the resources, and by this point I was running on E...lol so I quickly found the last relics, and launched as big of an army on Brad's base as I could, to hold him off until the relic capture gave me the win.. I hate winning with relics, or wonders, In fact if you ever try to build a wonder on me I will bring a force on you to be reconed with..lol, but I had no gold or stone left to collect, and the only ones left were in Gamer's base that I couldn't get through without costing myself the game, so I went for the relics. anyhow...Great gamin guys!
