UPDATE problems from 2.4

Post  hanner74 on July 8th 2008, 07:16

After widespread problems were reported regarding the recent PlayStation 3 firmware 2.40 update, Sony has apparently pulled the update, reverting back to the 2.36 build, which is now the most recent version of firmware available for download. Sony has not yet made an official announcement regarding the 2.4 problems, which have aparently led to several bricked PS3 consoles. Again, there is no confirmation from Sony other than a "we are looking into it," and no numbers available to show how widespread the issue has become. Supposedly a new 2.4 will be out later this week.

I had no problems with 2.40 myself...at least none that I noticed. I'll probably download the update finally tonight.
